Small Business Bookkeeping FAQ
These answers cover the most common questions about monthly bookkeeping, pricing, QuickBooks Online, reports, and support from Woodell Bookkeeping.
What is included in monthly bookkeeping?
Every plan includes monthly transaction categorization, reconciliation of the included bank and credit-card accounts, a Profit and Loss statement, a Balance Sheet, and email support.
When will I receive my monthly reports?
Reports are generally delivered by the 15th of the following month. Timing depends on when bank and credit-card statements are available and when requested information is received.
Do you work in QuickBooks Online?
Yes. Ongoing monthly bookkeeping is completed in QuickBooks Online. Clients maintain their own QuickBooks Online subscription.
How does pricing work?
Plans are based on the usual number of monthly transactions and bank or credit-card accounts. Essential is $350 per month, Growth is $550, and Established is $750. One-time onboarding fees are $99, $199, and $299 respectively.
What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
If activity exceeds the current plan’s transaction or account limit, the following month is billed at the next appropriate level. Businesses above 500 monthly transactions or 8 accounts receive a custom quote.
Are setup and cleanup included?
The onboarding fee covers the standard start of monthly service. QuickBooks Online setup, migration, budgeting, and historical cleanup are separate projects quoted after review.
Where do you work with clients?
Woodell Bookkeeping is based in Columbia, Tennessee and serves clients online in Spring Hill, Maury County, surrounding Middle Tennessee communities, and other locations when the fit is right. There is no public office for client visits.
Is a discovery call required?
No. You can request a quote by email and provide the details needed for an initial review. If a conversation would help clarify the work, one can be scheduled.
What services are not offered?
Woodell Bookkeeping does not currently provide payroll, tax preparation, bill pay, invoicing, sales-tax filing, 1099 filing, or cash-flow advisory. When needed, the books can be kept organized for collaboration with your tax professional.
What are the service terms?
Monthly service begins with a 90-day commitment and continues month to month after that. Cancellation requires 30 days written notice.
How quickly will you respond?
New inquiries receive a response by the next business day. Regular hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Central.
